2 OATH New York Veterans
2 OATH Leaders — Gary Bartels, Gary Romig
WHAT: OATH Moose Hunt in Maine
WHEN: 16-21 SEP 2017
WHERE: Bridgewater, ME
WHY: To further strengthen the bonds between our veterans and our hosting party
Folks, what a wonderful event this will be for a very special OATH Hero as they take part in this year’s Disabled Veterans Controlled Moose Lottery hunt in Maine !!! This year, OATH has awarded the two spots to our OATH New York Chapter, and they are extremely excited ! Our group will get into Bangor (BGR) on September 16th where they’ll overnight before being picked up at 8:00am on Sunday, 17 SEP, to attend a Veterans Luncheon. This luncheon is a gathering of all 25 veteran hunters, the guides, and others associated with this amazing event. The luncheon consists of a lobster and salmon feed, and a few words from Fish and Wildlife and others, but it’s chief purpose is to get everyone together to enjoy some quality fellowship. After the luncheon, the group will get settled in the cabins and then shoot on the range in preparation for the hunt. The hunt will run Monday through Wednesday. The hunt is a special crop damage season, and there are special ROE’s. The tag is good for any moose, and the OATH Hero will be accompanied by an approved licensed guide. For those needing them, our hosts will have loaner weapons, so there is no need to go through the hassle of traveling with a rifle. The bottom line is that our OATH Hero will only have to worry about having a good time and making a good shot. Following the hunt, we will be returned to Bangor on Thursday morning where we’ll return to our homes and our families with many stories to tell ! Can you say WOW ???
As with all of our events, we give you the opportunity to donate to a cause and know EXACTLY where your donations are going. There aren’t very many organizations that can do that, but at OATH, that’s exactly what we do !!! For this specific trip, we are seeking $4,000 to help offset the costs for the moose tags, licenses and meat processing for the two veterans. If you would like to donate and help support the costs associated with this specific trip, you can do so by using one of the two methods shown below:
OPTION 1 — you can use the PayPal link below. This PayPal link has a short reference code implemented that will earmark your donated funds for this specific event, so you can rest assured that the money you donate TO this event is used FOR this event.
OPTION 2 — if you would like to donate by check instead of PayPal, you can easily send a check (made payable to OATH, Inc. with “2017 Maine Moose” written in the memo section) to:
27314 Piney Ranch Lane
Thanks in advance for your support of this worthwhile event, it will certainly make a difference in the lives of these HEROES !!!
